Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enquiring about or enrolling in any programme offered by vellumcomes. By submitting an enquiry form, registering for a programme, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions, together with any programme confirmation issued to you.
  • "We", "Us", "Our" means vellumcomes, registered and operating from No. 15 Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Ipoh Old Town Square, 30000 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.
  • "You", "Participant" means any individual who enrols in, or enquires about, a programme offered by vellumcomes.
  • "Programme" means any educational workshop, course, or engagement offered by vellumcomes, including but not limited to the Household Archive Workshop, the Reading Policy Documents Programme, and the Written Financial Plan Engagement.
  • "Content" means all materials, documents, templates, printed plans, and related resources prepared by vellumcomes and provided to participants.
  • "Website" means the website operated by vellumcomes at {{DOMAIN}}.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or enrolling in a programme, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with enquiry or enrolment.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in any programme.
  • You confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law.
  • If you are enrolling on behalf of a household, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

3. Service Description

vellumcomes provides financial education programmes designed to help adults in Malaysia develop a more confident, informed relationship with their own financial documents and decisions. Our programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute financial advice, financial planning, or investment advisory services as defined under Malaysian law.

  • Programmes are offered in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia, and are primarily intended for residents of Malaysia.
  • Session formats, dates, and venues are published on our website and confirmed in writing to registered participants.
  • We reserve the right to modify programme content, dates, or venues where circumstances require, with reasonable advance notice.

4. Enrolment & Registration

  • Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from vellumcomes.
  • Programme places are limited. Submission of an enquiry form does not constitute enrolment or a guaranteed place.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate contact information at the time of registration. vellumcomes is not responsible for missed communications resulting from inaccurate details.
  • Registration details may be shared with the facilitating staff member solely for the purpose of programme delivery.

5. Participant Responsibilities

To make the most of any programme and to maintain a respectful environment for all participants, you agree to:

  • Attend sessions on time and engage in good faith with the programme content.
  • Treat other participants, facilitators, and support staff with courtesy and consideration.
  • Not record, photograph, or reproduce session content without prior written consent from vellumcomes.
  • Not share or distribute printed or digital programme materials beyond your household.
  • Bring your own financial documents to sessions where indicated — we do not ask to retain or photocopy them.

vellumcomes reserves the right to ask any participant to withdraw from a programme if their conduct significantly disrupts the learning environment. In such circumstances, a partial refund may be considered at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All Content produced by vellumcomes — including printed index templates, folder divider designs, anonymised document examples, session frameworks, and written financial plan structures — remains the intellectual property of vellumcomes.

  • You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use materials provided to you for your own household use only.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, adapt, or make available to third parties any materials received as part of a programme without prior written consent.
  • Website content, including text, design, and structural elements, is also the property of vellumcomes and is protected under applicable Malaysian intellectual property law.

7. Payment Terms

  • Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of printed materials unless otherwise specified.
  • Full payment is required to confirm enrolment. We do not hold places against partial payments.
  • Accepted payment methods are communicated at the time of enrolment confirmation.
  • Cancellation by participant: If you cancel more than 14 calendar days before the programme start date, you will receive a full refund less any administrative processing costs. Cancellations within 14 days of the start date are not eligible for a refund, though you may transfer your place to another individual with written notice to us.
  • Cancellation by vellumcomes: If we cancel a programme for any reason, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid. We will not be liable for any other costs you may have incurred in connection with the programme.
  • Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 14 business days.

8. Programme-Specific Terms

Household Archive Workshop (RM 540)

  • A single-day Saturday workshop held at our Ipoh premises. Session dates are published on the website and confirmed in writing.
  • Printed materials (index template and labelled dividers) are included in the programme fee and will be provided on the day.
  • A maximum of 12 participants per session ensures an unhurried pace for all.

Reading Policy Documents Programme (RM 1,820)

  • A four-session programme delivered over four weeks or a schedule agreed at enrolment.
  • Maximum group size is 8 participants to allow for unhurried questions.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own documents to working sessions. vellumcomes will not retain, photocopy, or record any personal documents.
  • The programme does not provide product recommendations, investment advice, or commentary on specific financial product suitability.

Written Financial Plan Engagement (RM 4,450)

  • A four-month engagement for one household, structured around five meetings as described on our website.
  • The deliverable is a typeset printed financial plan for the household's own use. It does not constitute a regulated financial plan under Malaysian law.
  • Draft documents are shared between meetings for review and mark-up. Final documents are delivered at or after the closing meeting.
  • A three-month follow-up call is included and should be scheduled within six months of the closing meeting.

9. Disclaimers

vellumcomes provides educational programmes to support informed personal decision-making. Our programmes and any written plans or materials produced are not financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, or insurance advice.

  • We do not recommend specific financial products, providers, or investment strategies.
  • Participants should consult appropriately licensed professionals for specific financial, legal, or tax decisions.
  • We make no representation that participation in any programme will lead to any particular financial outcome.
  • Website content is provided for general informational purposes and may not reflect the most recent changes in Malaysian law or regulation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law:

  • vellumcomes's total liability to you in connection with any programme or use of our website is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant programme.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your participation in a programme or your use of our website, including loss of earnings, financial decisions made on the basis of programme content, or data loss.
  • We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including venue unavailability, illness of facilitators, or natural events that prevent programme delivery.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless vellumcomes, its staff, and associates from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your conduct during a programme, or your misuse of programme materials.

12. Termination

  • Either party may terminate an ongoing engagement (such as the Written Financial Plan Engagement) by giving 14 days' written notice.
  • If you choose to withdraw mid-engagement, fees for completed sessions and work already delivered will not be refunded. We will consider a partial refund for future sessions not yet delivered, at our discretion.
  • Clauses relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive the termination of any agreement.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with a programme or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

  • We encourage any concerns to be raised with us directly in the first instance by writing to legal@{{DOMAIN}}. We will acknowledge your concern within 5 business days and seek to resolve it informally where possible.
  • If informal resolution is not possible within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the relevant Malaysian consumer tribunal or court.

14. General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with any programme confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and vellumcomes relating to your enrolment.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: Failure by vellumcomes to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our obligations to a suitable successor in the event of a change in business structure.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our programmes, Malaysian law, or operating practice. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will notify enrolled participants of material changes by email where reasonably practicable. Continued participation in or enrolment in programmes after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
